Feeling a Little Fall-ish

We've already had over a month of 100 plus temps in this area it seems and when it's that hot I like to make fall and winter cards - kind of cools me off!

This is an image from Karen's Doodles - which, by the way, is having a DT call right now.  No, I'm not throwing my name in the mix for a chance on the DT but I do love all the images she has. I used some Chocolate Chip, Old Olive, and Pumpkin Pie card stock (see, I'm telling ya, we're talking FALL here)!  I also a couple of SU punches for the frame.  Pretty basic card, but I really like how it turned out - or maybe I just like the "cool" feeling it gives me.

Hope everyone is having a good day today...and thanks for stopping by..........
Lynn

oh, Fall ahh.....I can't wait!!! It only gets into the upper 70's at night and is 80 by 7A!!!! Love your card, the colors are just so rich and the image is so fall like and love how you did the frame. Have a great day and stay cool. How does Rambo do with the heat, Lucky hates it and really suffers.

Hi Lynn,

This is a cool card in every sense of the word!!! Am glad that it is helping you stay cool as well. You are right, the image is so charming and the card stock matches so very well. So does the frame.

I am back but am mentally somewhere else!!! Just sorting out the bags... and now to tidy up. It was fun but I think we packed in a lot of travel.

Glad to be back and will get down to serious blogging soon. The children have school holidays so am trying to give them company as well.

Hope the physio therapy is showing results.

xxx Monica

Beautiful card Lynn, I love this image and have it as a freebie from way back when.

Sorry to throw you on my blog this morning :) you did miss the ladybug template that I had up for a few hours. Too busy...

I just felt the need for a change. My blog photo is 7 years old now and I ordered a Chibi from Kristy ad Some Odd Girl that I thought would be fun to use. It will be ready next month so I'll be doing some more playing I'm sure.

Have a great day! Jan

I just got this image from Karen's Doodles the other day and I definitely am looking forward to fall. I want the temps to cool off! I'm going to have to case your card here. Love the colors you chose and the design layout is fabulous! The bow and brads really set off the image, too.

Is it sad that I got excited because it was ONLY 98 degrees today? Gah! It's too hot! But looking at a fabulous fall card like this gives me hope. Not that we actually have "fall" in Texas...but you know what I mean. I love the design of this one and that pretty scalloped frame. :)
