Wild Thing

Since I had a "Friday Funny" on Wednesday this week, thought I'd just post a WILD THING card! I know, I know....another red, black, and white card - what can I say!

This is a stamp that I won from the Repeat Impression challenge and when I picked out the image I didn't have any idea what I was going to do with it - but liked it.  I like how the card turned out but really wish that I had embossed the black "frame" around the zebra.  But this is normal for me - just about every time I get a card done, I see things that I wish I'd done differently.  Maybe we're all like that though.

The sentiment is from CTMH and I used the Square Lattice embossing folder from SU on this.  The coin was in a box of buttons and goodies that a friend gave me that had belonged to her mother.  It was full of coins of all type and some very unique buttons.  She was a world traveler and picked up bits and pieces of all sorts of things in her travels.

I'll enter this in the ABC Challenge (Zoo) and Die Cut Dreams #94 Challenge (Animal Antics - animals with four legs).

Thanks for stopping by..............Have a wonderful weekend.
Lynn

I love black, white and red -- especially in your hands! Besides, what else are you going to do with a zebra? Pink and orange? lol Hmmmm, I might have to try that!

It's a great color combo Lynn and yep we all do that thing where we think of something we could of done after the fact! I always try to just say well, on my next card I'll incorporate that. This is a striking image and I wouldn't have known what to do with it but, you really made it work.

Lynn, this is very exotic with all the black and white. I really like the zebra striped frame and of course the zebra himself, or maybe it a herself.

Lynn, I love this. I also love that you didn't emboss the frame, I think it would have detracted from the zebra. Love the baker's twine and the button - the perfect touch.

I like how you used zebra paper to mat around the image as it really makes the zebra pop. I think red, white and black are perfect for this. No wonder you were picked for the top 5 at The ABC Challenge. Congrats!

Hope you will come play in this weeks challenge "A is for Auburn"
