Leafy Branch

I titled this card "leafy branch" - and that may be the actual name of the die from SU I used - however, am way too lazy to go look it up right now!  Nothing like a little honesty to start of the day.

Now, I don't even know why I'm telling y'all all this but......sprayed some Color Shine on the background (heavy handed), added a sentiment from a Simon Says Stamp kit, die cut the branch and smashed it around in Versa and then added Rock Candy glitter, tied a bow with twine, popped it up on a scored piece of white, AND popped on the sequins!  There.......got it all said in one sentence in case anyone bothers to read it!  LOL!  Even though you can't tell in the photo, it really sparkles and shines.

I love it when ladies say what they do on a card, but mine are pretty self explanatory so just feel a little dumb writing all that.  It's done though.  I also really like it when I see an image colored and Copics used are listed.  Maybe someday when I'm old and gray (no comment there!) I could do that too.  Need to refine my coloring skills a little before I do that one though!

I'll enter this at Simon Says Stamp blog - Glitter It.

Thanks for stopping by.......and have a great week!
Lynn

So pretty, Lynn. I love color shine and sequins, too. I think you are right about the name of that embossing folder. I would go look, too, but same excuse you had. LOL

Whew! Glad I listed my Copic colors on my card today...else, you would not be pleased. Ha

Have a fabulous week.

I'm glad you write all that up. A lot of times I go and check out the products. I have never heard of Color Shine or Rock Candy Glitter so I always check out stuff like this to see if I could make use of it. I have a really difficult time with CAS. I usually don't have a clue of how to put it together. Your card is so very pretty. Love your work!

The best way to start out a Monday is to ready one of your comical posts. I always read every word of your posts, because they usually bring a smile to my face, no matter what you are talking about. See this time I learned that I could smash a leave around in Versamark. In any case, I really do think this is a very attractive card. Have a fun filled day, Lynn.

Another stunner! I enjoyed reading how you did it too. Nice job on the colorshine, and I'm loving that glitzed up leaf! I'm one who won't be listing the copics used. I don't write 'em down, I just pick a marker, test it with a couple of other shades, and if I like how it looks, go with it. I couldn't replicate my own colors, let alone tell somebody else..I'd just have to say the color family! (not very organized, on no!). You do your post in whatever way makes you happy. When I have questions, I'll ask you! Always love your cards. They are CAS, but not simple to me!! Just clean & sparkling! (nothing wrong with gray either!!). Have a great week. TFS & Hugs

It's SPRING! It is alright to be a bit lazy. You are CAS as CAS can be with this one. Terrific card Lynn.

Happiness and sparkles! That's what this card is all about.

I think it is funny that some people write how they made and card and you hear it in dull grey monotone and others write it and feel the liveliness and the energy that went into the card making. Yours was definitely happy. Now I have to sit and catch my breath.

Wow, Lynn, your card is so pretty!! I keep forgetting my sequins. Need to tape them to my nose I guess. LOL Love how you did the BG and your leaves too!!

Well, I think I should put myself right there on the norty step 'coz I never list the Copics I use. (Probably because my work table is so cluttered and messy and has loads of Copics littering it,they all get mixed up). LOVE your crazy narratives. They always make me smile. Oh yes, nearly forgot the important bit..your card is gorgeous! lol xxx

I like your "heavy-handed" COlor Shine, Lynn! I think it makes a fantastic background. Wonderful sparkle on the leaf and I like the sequins. In the photo, they look a bit like Dew Drops, which would also be a great embellishment for this card. :-D

Oh, Lynn, this is a really smashing design!! The spray is just the right touch and your clear sequints look like spring rain drops or dew drops! I love the scoring, too!! Hugs, Darnell

Lynn, you always make me smile! Your detailed post was perfect! I have learned through my classes that even if it seems simple to us, newcomers love the explanation.
Your sparkly leafy branch is beautiful; I love the twine bow!
