Enjoying the Day

After having storms all over Texas the last few days, it's dry once again and time to start watering the plants I'm afraid.

I don't normally use Kraft card stock for a card but thought it'd be a little different and cute for this card.  I used some stamps from Newton's Nook - Garden Whimsey and Newton's Summer Vacation and also followed their sketch challenge.  The patterned paper is from the Welcome Spring pack from American Crafts.  The tiny little charm says "Made with Love".  Both the paper and the charm were gifts from blogging friends (thank you both so much)!  The image is colored with Copics and the sky background with Pan Pastels.

I'd like to enter this in the Inky Paws Challenge at Newton's Nook (sketch).

Loving Worms

No, I don't normally love worms.....but do love this very old set of stamps from Close to My Heart.  I believe it's called The Good Life.  The stamps were colored in Copics with several sequins added.  That's about all I can say about this card.  CAS and git 'er done.

I've got so many CTMH stamps and I dusted them all off this weekend so you may be seeing a few here and there.

Just Ducky

It's a ducky kind of day around here - meaning we've been having some rain showers.  Been pretty nice and we're loving the green grass.  Rambo thinks he's in hogs heaven when he rolls around in the grass and doesn't have to just deal with dirt.

This cute little guy/gal is from Deedee's Digi's.  It comes in pre-colored or line where you can color it yourself....plus some cute sentiments too.  I used the line version and colored the duck and then paper pieced the umbrella and boots.  The sentiment is from Mama Elephant.  I was going to use one of the sentiments that comes with the set of images but wanted to emboss it on vellum, so ended up stamping one instead.  I used a rain drop stencil in the background with some embossing paste.

Be sure and stop by Deedee's Digi's and check out ALL the wonderful images there.  Cute, cute sets!!

Flowered Thanks

A really quick card this afternoon.  I used a very old sentiment from SU, some My Minds Eye patterned paper, circle die from Lil Inker, a bit of twine, a flower die from MFT, and an enamel dot.  Whew!  That  about sums up the entire card!  A git 'er done card!

I'd like to enter this in the challenge at The Crooked Stamper.  Leslie has a sketch challenge once a month and they've all just been great.  Check it out.  I'll also enter over at Pixie's Crafty Workshop (snippets).  A fun challenge with so many friendly ladies.

I'm probably going to be missing in action around here for a while this week.   I'll check by your blogs as soon as I can.

Granny Panties

I'm just a little past the age of wearing bikini undies I suppose.  Only a little bit though.  Thongs?.....PLEASE, we won't even go in that direction.  That just makes my head hurt - and other parts of my body as well!!!

The problem came about the other day when Jim caught me in my granny panties and said I really needed to maybe be a little more stylish.  Um........so I decided to add a little style and flair with some polka dotted ones!  Yea!!!  Pretty snazzy looking if you ask me!  I thought maybe you'd want to take a peek too.

Oh, and just so you won't think I've lost my ever-loving mind, I'll show you the inside of the card too since it's going to be a birthday card for a friend.

Maybe my next pair of granny panties will have some lace on them!  That's stylish I'm sure.

Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend and thanks for stopping by.........

A Pig with a Rash

Rash???  Measles???   Maybe he's just super duper embarrassed!  No matter since I think he's going to put a smile on someone's face.  The image is for a progressive challenge over at From the Heart Stamps.  Cute images there and if you play along each month you get the next image free.

I colored him with Copics and then gave him his "rash" with Copic solution.  The Polaroid was popped up on dimensionals and then he was placed behind it.  I used a MFT die for the sentiment that was shimmered up with a Wink of Stella pen and and a Darice embossing folder.

Ok, are you smiling yet??

A Beautiful Day

Things are finally looking up around here so yes, it's a beautiful day!  This is actually a birthday card for one of the older granddaughters.  I used Spring Blocks from Deedee's Digis - (Pre-colored version).  There's five different images and a slew of sentiments in this set - and they come in pre-colored or line.    Be sure and check it out!  I went over the blue background with a little darker blue Copic and then added the Wink of Stella to the flower petals and wings of the bee.  A few sequins were added along with some sheer ribbon.

I know it's Friday and I don't have a Fun Friday for everyone......but I will have one next week for sure!  (Or at least try to have one - for sure!)

Thanks for stopping by and be sure and go over to Deedee's and see all the wonderful images.  There's also a progressive challenge going on there each month!

Oh Sheep!

First of all, I'd like to thank everyone for all the well wishes for Jim!  He's doing so much better (and hope we can keep it that way now).  We still have a long road to go but things are looking up a little.  Thank you so much for all your thoughts and prayers for us.

I've had a little time the last couple of days (when he's sleeping or parked in front of the TV) to do some crafting.   YEA!  One of the first cards I just had to make was using Farmyard Friends from Newton's Nook.  Cute, cute set of stamps!  I watercolored the "grass" and "sky" and then placed the blue check patterned paper behind it.  I remembered I had some paper that looked like hay and added a strip of it on the side.  The sheep were lightly colored with Copics and then Liquid Applique added.  A couple of sequins, the sun, sentiment, and the card was complete.

I'd like to enter this in the Inky Paws Challenge at Newton's Nook (watercolor) and Pixie's Crafty Workshop (snippets).

Thanks so much for stopping by.............
